JSC “Altyntau Resources” (JSC “Vasilkovsky MCC” prior to 2011) was established on the base of Vasilkovsky gold ore deposit which was discovered in 1963. The deposit was discovered in the process of a specialized prospecting of the area of radioactive raw materials deposits at Vasilkovsky ore field (1960-61) conducted by the Ministry of Geology of the USSR. In 2011 the biggest group of companies focused on mining and gold processing JSC “Altyntau Resources” was established.
