What does Cleanwatts do?

We’re a climate tech scale up delivering the energy transition where it matters most: locally. We remove friction and complexity from local energy markets by originating, managing and optimizing Energy Communities. Our Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) are powered by locally sourced clean energy and other energy transition assets, all offered at zero upfront cost. At the heart of our offering stands Cleanwatts™ OS, our modular and interoperable platform designed and market-tested over the past ten years to manage local energy markets. Cleanwatts™ OS connects the dots between consumption, storage and generation of energy, front-of-the-meter flexibility, grid resiliency, and transaction management for every community that we serve. By simplifying, amplifying, and accelerating the energy transition for local communities, we are addressing the most urgent trilemma of our time: decarbonizing the grid while bolstering energy security and abating the high cost of energy. Join us as we build a world in which clean energy is decentralized, digitalized, and democratized.
