What does Impossible Cloud do?

Impossible Cloud is a next-generation cloud provider offering highly secure, cost-efficient, and fully S3-compatible Cloud storage solutions for businesses. Headquartered in Europe, Impossible Cloud positions itself as an alternative to AWS, Google Cloud or Wasabi, as a European cloud company with a strong emphasis on data sovereignty and compliance with European data protection standards. Founded by experienced entrepreneurs Dr. Kai Wawrzinek and Dr. Christian Kaul, and supported by CTO Dr. Thomas Demoor — one of the world’s leading object storage experts — Impossible Cloud has built a scalable, channel-first go-to-market model. The company surpassed €5M in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in 2024 and is experiencing rapid growth across a diverse customer base, ranging from SMEs and airports to industrial firms, universities, AI companies, and media organizations. Key partners include major distributors and system integrators, including Europe's largest system integrator, Bechtle. Key integrations and certifications with industry-leading ISVs include Veeam, Acronis, MSP360, and Hornet Security. Impossible Cloud’s infrastructure is exclusively in enterprise-grade, certified data centers, primarily operated by decentralized hardware providers, interconnected and scaled efficiently through the Impossible Cloud Network (ICN), an innovative Web3-based model. Impossible Cloud continues to strengthen its leadership position in Europe and is currently laying the foundation for expansion into other global markets, such as North America.
