What does JN Research do?

JN Research is pioneering new machine cognition technology, creating the world’s first artificial brains. Our proprietary “Adaptrons” — artificial neurons capable of action potentials, graded, and subthreshold responses — allow small-scale systems to autonomously form memories, generate original thoughts, and even dream. Unlike traditional AI based on machine learning, our artificial brains replicates the adaptive rules of biological cognition in machines, providing a new substrate for intelligence. Industry: Artificial Intelligence Neuroscience Deep Tech Cognitive Systems Biotechnology Highlights: Launched Primite 1.03, the world’s first artificial cognitive system demonstrating memory formation, original thought generation, and dream-like activity. First mover in artificial cognition, bridging neuroscience and AI. Applications: neuroscience testbeds, brain-computer interfaces, robotics, drug discovery, and defense. Current focus: scaling from 1,800 to 1M Adaptrons and integrating image/sound stimuli.
