What does Swiss Federal Office of Personnel FOPER do?

Staff, our job. Every day, around 38,000 employees work for the enterprise that is Switzerland. How do we find the best people for the most diverse tasks? What instruments do the departments and federal offices need for personnel management? Which modern forms of work can increase efficiency and promote a work/life balance? At the Federal Office of Personnel (FOPER), we are fully committed to addressing questions like these on a daily basis. In addition, we carry out the preparatory work for personnel-related matters that come before the Federal Council, and cultivate contacts with employee associations. Another one of our most important tasks is basic training and continuing professional development for employees, managers and HR specialists throughout the Federal Administration; networking and knowledge transfer are just as important. We offer young people apprenticeships in various occupations and exciting university internships. At the FOPER, we consider diversity to be an opportunity and attach great importance to exchange, transparency and trust.
