What does VAir do?

Our mission is to empower healthcare professionals and vulnerable populations with easy-to-use devices to monitor respiratory viruses in the air. Our innovative solutions offer a cost-effective, real-time alternative to the existing bulky and expensive analytical platforms that often require qualified personnel to interpret results. Our collective devices are designed to detect viruses in closed environments and alert nearby individuals of their exposure. Additionally, our non-invasive point-of-care tests will be able to identify pathogens in exhaled breath condensate, significantly speeding up the diagnosis and treatment process. This approach ensures timely intervention, enhancing public health response and improving outcomes for affected individuals. A spin-off from SupBiotech Engineering School, in 2024 VAir has earned recognition as: - One of the top-20 most promising entrepreneurial projects launched by students and alumni of the Paris-Saclay cluster - Finalist (top-5) of the Prize 'Entreprendre pour demain', organised by Foundation Sopra Steria-Institut de France - Finalist (top-8) of the Serge Weinberg Trophies, awarded by Foundation S (Sanofi), Future4Care, and 21st (CentraleSupélec)
