What does Voltrac do?

Voltrac is a robotics company that develops an autonomous, fully electric tractor platform called THOR, designed to operate in demanding environments for both agricultural and logistics use. THOR employs per-wheel electric motors instead of a conventional drivetrain, reducing mechanical complexity and maintenance requirements. It runs on swappable 200 kWh battery packs, enabling long-duration operations and continuous work cycles. The platform supports a standard three-point hitch (Category II) and can be configured with a flatbed, making it versatile for fieldwork or transport tasks. Voltrac’s autonomy system combines reinforcement learning with real-time sensor data to adapt driving behavior and implements to changing terrain and crop conditions. Beyond farming, THOR is also intended for frontline logistics missions, with modular designs that can support cargo transport and resilience in challenging settings.
